This is a course blog for English 010, Foundations of Literary Studies, at the University of California, Merced in the Department of Literatures, Languages, and Cultures.  I have created this site as a friendly non-hostile discussion forum where my students and I can openly share ideas, questions, and sheer joy on any topic pertaining to various schools of literary criticism (feminism, psychoanalysis, Marxism, postcolonial, etc.) and particularly on Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein, one of the most influential works of English literature that has reached its bicentennial.  I invite all English literature enthusiasts and Frankenstein fans to rate my students’ posts, offer insightful comments on them, and contribute to our free-ranging discussions.  Please feel free to follow the blog by subscribing on the lower sidebar prompt. Thank you.
